Privacy Policy

Houston Expert Roofers ("the line", "we", "us") is a d/b/a of Dominion Digital Group. It runs the website houstonexpertroofers.com and a phone line that connects callers with independent, locally owned roofing companies across greater Houston; it does no roofing work itself. Below you will find what the line gathers about you, what it does with that information, who else sees it, and what you can ask for.

Information collected

• Phone calls. When you call, an automated assistant asks which service you need and briefly what is going on. The call record (your phone number, the time of the call and what you told the assistant) is kept so the call can be routed and, if the roofing company cannot answer, so your name, callback number, city, need and urgency can be passed along for a call back.
• The contact form on /contact/ collects your name, phone number, city or ZIP code, what you need and any message you add.
• The storm claim checklist form on /hail-claim-checklist/ collects your first name, email address, ZIP code and, only if you choose, a phone number.
• Technical data. As with nearly any site on the web, the site and its hosting company record technical details on their own: IP address, browser and device type, the pages you open and the site that sent you here.

How information is used

• To route your call or request to an independent roofing company that takes calls in your area, so it can contact you.
• To send you the checklist you asked for.
• To understand, in aggregate, how the site is used and to keep it working.
• To meet legal obligations and to protect the line's legal rights.

How information is shared

Your information is not sold. Once you call or send a request, the independent roofing company the line connects you with receives your name, phone number, location and a description of the roofing problem, so it can reach you. That company is a separate business with its own privacy practices. Beyond that, the line passes information only to the vendors that keep the phone line and site running, such as telephone, form and website hosting (Netlify) and analytics providers, giving each only what its task requires, or to whoever the law requires.

Cookies, analytics and translation

The site uses Google Analytics to measure visits and clicks on the phone number, which sets cookies in your browser. Picking Español from the header switch loads Google Translate, which stores a cookie so the site remembers your language. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings; the site still works without them, although the language switch may not stay set.

Text messages

The line does not send marketing text messages. A roofing company you are connected with may contact you by phone or text about your request under its own policies.

Retention and security

Records are kept only as long as needed to route requests, keep basic business records and meet legal requirements. The line takes reasonable care to protect what it holds, though nothing sent over the internet or kept in storage can be made perfectly safe.

Your choices

You may ask what personal information the line holds about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, subject to records the law requires to be kept. If you live in Texas, the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act may give you more rights. Requests can be made by calling (832) 662-4107 or through the contact form.

Children

This site is written for adults who are arranging roof work on a property. The line does not knowingly gather personal information from anyone under 13.

Changes

The line may revise this policy now and then, and the date shown at the top tells you which version you are reading. This page is a plain description of the line's practices, not legal advice.
